What it's for

What you adjust

• Color scheme for the three parts: News (white cube, black handle), all black or all white — and once the scheme is picked, each part's color can still be changed one by one
• The logo can be a PNG, a JPG or an SVG file of up to 8 MB, quantized into 4 or 8 colors — quantizing means reducing the image to that handful of flat colors, each one turning into a region with a color of its own
• Logo plate: width from 20 to 58 mm and height from 14 to 48 mm, one millimeter at a time
• Logo relief between 0.4 mm and 1.6 mm, with a 0.2 mm step. There is a hard floor here: the app won't let the relief drop below two layers of your declared layer height, because any less doesn't form a step and the detail disappears in the print
• The mic body has no size control. Cube, cradle and handle come from the CAD — the original technical drawing of the part — and arrive exactly as they were drawn; what you personalize is the plate

How to print it

• You pick the format at download time: a 3MF with each part's color stored inside the file, a ZIP holding one STL per part (the color code goes into each filename, so you can print piece by piece on the right filament), or a single STL with everything merged and no color
• Four parts on the bed: cube, cradle, handle and the logo plate. The plate is a 1 mm slab with 2.5 mm rounded corners, and it arrives lying in front of the mic, artwork pointing up
• This model does not split into parts: there is no cut plane and no alignment pin here. The handle is the longest piece and it is the one that decides — if it won't stand up on your bed, lay it down in the slicer
• Assembly: the cradle screws into the top of the cube (the thread is already in the drawing), the handle plugs in underneath, and the logo plate glues onto the front face, with no joint — glue and nothing else

Frequently asked questions

Is this an actual microphone?

No, it's the body. The electronics are still your lavalier mic, which sits in the cradle and stays clamped there. What the printer hands you is the shell carrying your brand.

Will it fit my printer?

The cube and the cradle fit any bed. The handle is what decides — it's the longest piece, and this model does not split into parts, so there is no shortening it. If it won't stand up, lay it down in the slicer.

Do I need an AMS for the logo?

Only if it has more than one color. With a single color a plain STL does the job. With an AMS, the 3MF reaches the slicer already saying which filament goes into each piece of the logo — 3MF being the format that keeps that information inside the file itself. And if the logo is one color over the plate, you can swap filament by hand at the layer where the relief starts, no AMS at all.

Does the head foam come printed too?

No. The cube is the head that holds the microphone's foam windscreen; the foam itself you already have or buy separately. What the printer gives you is the cube, the cradle, the handle and the logo plate.
