How many keys fit is the plate's call, not yours
Count your keys first: each one wants a loop, and how many loops fit depends on the plate width β a 120 mm plate takes five. The rest follows: the plate size, the word raised across the top, the corner radius, and whether it gets screw holes. Pull the width and watch the loop ceiling climb with it β the plate decides, not you. The file is born in the browser, with nothing going through a server.

What you adjust
- Plate from 60 to 200 mm wide, 40 to 120 mm tall and 3 to 8 mm thick
- Corner radius from 0 to 20 mm β from sharp to fully rounded
- Text up to 18 characters in four fonts, 1 mm raised, 6 to 28 mm tall; if it gets too wide it shrinks on its own to fit the plate
- From 0 to 8 key loops. The control stops at how many fit that width: each loop takes 15.4 mm, needs 1 mm of clearance from its neighbor and the ends keep margin for the screw hole β a 120 mm plate takes five
- Optional screw holes in the two top corners, 4.4 mm β an M4 screw (4 mm), with clearance so it goes in without forcing
- Split into two pieces to glue afterwards, with a dowel, press-fit, ball snap or dovetail
How to print it
- Three outputs from the same design: an STL, the common 3D-printing format, for the whole part in one color; a 3MF, the file that carries each region's color along with it, for when you want the text in a different color from the plate; or one STL per part, to print each color separately and glue
- Lay the plate flat on the bed, text face up: the loops sit in the same plane as the plate, so nothing hangs in the air and nothing asks for supports
- With no AMS (the multi-filament feeder), the text still comes out in another color with one filament swap at the top of the plate β a slicer calls that a pause, or a color change at a layer. The raised text starts right at the plate's top face and rises 1 mm
- Declare your printer and the width genuinely stops at what fits your bed β the math is width by height plus 6.2 mm, because the loops hang below the plate. The text's thin strokes only raise a warning: that one stops nothing
Frequently asked questions
- How many keys fit?
- One loop per key (or per bunch), and the app only lets you ask for as many as fit that width: 120 mm gives you five, and reaching eight takes a much wider plate. They're closed loops with an 11 by 8 mm opening β you thread the key ring through, it isn't a hook you drop keys onto.
- Will it hold the weight of the keys?
- It depends on the thickness and the filament, but the orientation helps: the loops print in the same plane as the plate, so the load stays within the layer instead of trying to peel one off the next. For a heavy bunch, take the plate thickness up to 6 or 8 mm.
- How do I mount it on the wall?
- With screw holes on you get two 4.4 mm holes in the top corners, for an M4 screw (4 mm), with clearance so it goes in without forcing. If you're using double-sided tape, turn the holes off and the plate comes out smooth.
Do I need an account? Is there a cost?
No and no. Building the model and downloading the file is free and needs no sign-up β the geometry is generated in your browser, no queue and no upload. An account is for something else: saving what you built and publishing personalization links for your customers.
